Albuquerque Magic
To my amazing sister Ann, I love you with all my heart! What a grand show of love you have given me! You have helped me cross of an item from my bucket list in the funnest and most grand way I know! We flew to Albuquerque New Mexico on 11 October 2012 to attend the Albuquerque Balloon Fiesta!!! What an amazing vacation with my best friend. Saturday morning was magical to say the least. Perfect day, perfect sunshine, perfect companion, perfect everything!
Balloons of every shape, color, and size! A feast for the eyes on every level. I love this one, oh I love this one too, no I think I love this one more...oh I love them all. And then there was launch...I couldn't take my eyes off the sky, in every direction. That could explain the stiff neck, LOL!
I wouldn't have wanted to share this wonderful, magical experience with anyone other than Ann. She makes it so much fun, so great! We laughed, oohhed, and awwed more than anyone else on the field I think. We didn't care, it was so neat to see. I felt spiritual too, which seemed odd, but not out of place. Everyone there seemed to be feeling a little happier, a little more spiritual I think. So much fun, so little time!
11,000 feet above Albuquerque is where the tram took us on Monday morning. What a great day that was for both of us. Not just the trip up the mountain, but the talk, the life sharing, the bonding we did. I will treasure those few hours for the rest of my life. I always learn and grow so much when I am with my Ann. You have such insite and such life experience to glean from. Thank you for sharing this special trip with me.
My second all time favorite balloons were the bees. They were so fun to watch and they danced, flew, and twirled with the morning breeze. Almost like they were alive!

Did I say fun?!!! I sure did, after getting up so early and watching the morning launch we threw down the blanket on the grass with thousands of people walking by, and rested! Whew what a day, what a ride, what a great time with my BFF.

US
I had so much fun last time I was in Hurricane. It was so great to get to spend so much time with my favorite sister. And thanks for driving to St. George to be with me in the emergency room, I felt a lot better having you there although I felt bad that you got back home so late. You are the very best and I love you tons!

Happy
This big sunflower in my front garden just makes me happy. It is a volunteer, up from seeds dropped by the birds, reminding us to bloom where we're planted. I love it when it starts to get a little chill in the air in the morning here, sure sign that the summer is coming to a close and we are moving into my most favorite time of year. Love you beautiful sister, remember to BLOOM!
You are my sunshine!

My posterity minus Peter
I was just messing around with a program on my phone called instagram and thought this shot turned out pretty cool. I am so thankful for my family. They are a unique and talented bunch all of them. I am very proud of my legacy or my posterity. They complete me. I consider my family (to include my parents, my siblings, and my extended family) to be my greatest treasures. Ann you have helped me realize the important things in life. You have helped me enjoy my life and recognize the great things I have been blessed with. I love you so much and really do listen to and try to implement the things you teach me. I glean from your reading and experiences, they help me feel complete. I am blessed!

Jumping over my obstacles
I have been battling with my self image and what I percieve to be my weight for a year now. I am reading this really amazing book called "Lose weight without dieting, The animal kingdom way", by David Nordmark. It is free on kindle. I have only read 1/3 of the book and it makes so much sense to me. I highly recommend it to you. Not that you need to loose weight, I am not saying that at all. Rather the concepts are pretty enlightening. I am going to blog some of what I have learned already.
1. Focus on behaviors and habits that cause my weight gain, not the weight itself.
2. Keep a food journal and record what I eat each day. Why do I eat when I am not hungry.
3. Do not eat in front of the TV
4. If I am hungry realize that I most probably thirsty instead. Drink water first.
5. Learn to only eat at the dining room table with plate, fork & knife. Break my habit of grabbing something to eat.
6. When eating at the table focus on only eating or talking with family. No reading or watching TV.
7. Move any tempting foods out of sight, Move healthier stuff to my eyesight.
8. Do not treat my body like a garbage can, eat only until full. Throw the rest in the garbage.
9. Exercise
10. Approach dinner as a ritual, not as a task to be completed. Plan in advance.
11. Only put the food you think you will eat on my plate. Put the rest away to elevate wanting more.
12. Eat my food slowly, without distractions, and with a feeling of gratitude. Give my brain a chance to know it is full.
13. If I am hungry for a snack, walk away for 7 minutes and do something else (except watching TV). If I am still hungry then I can have the snack at the table.
14. Strive to eat food in as close to it’s natural state as possible - avoid at all cost processed foods that come in a box, bag, wrapper or tray.
The next part of the book talks about exercise. I am so excited to get into that and see how it measures us with the animal kingdom. All of the above things he related to our animal friends and how they do it. I was just excited and thought you might be interested. I will keep you updated on my progress. I would like to journal for sure on what I eat each day. What kind of forum could I do that in that I could share with you? I don't want to do it on the blog because we will someday print this into a book.
I love you so much and am thankful you are always there for me. Let's keep on blogging, it is fun and I have been lax for sure.
