"It was the best of times..."

Picture perfect. I love this picture. I am always so enthralled with the beauty of my sister Ann. She is not only beautiful outwardly but most importantly inwardly. She would do anything for anyone (within reason of course, LOL) I am the recipient of her generosity and love. I know she is my little sister but I truly look up to her in every way. I admire the way she loves life and doesn't let anything stop her from her goals and dreams. Do you know she comes up with a vision, puts it into motion, and before you know it...it is a reality. I can hardly believe some of the things she has accomplished in her life.

This candy store cannot even compete with the sweetness of you Ann. Boy did we have fun, just like two kids in a candy store...wait we were in a candy store and for a brief moment I felt like a kid again. "What should I buy?" Oh we took a sampling of just about everything we liked. It was a fun tour too, seeing how they made the candy. I love doing factory tours, they are so much fun. Wish there were more of them around. Hey it sounds like a project, to start finding some to go visit, are you up for it?

High on a mountain top! Literally, we were sitting on the top of a mountain in Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado. What a perfect day it was for going to the park. We hiked to a waterfall (one of my favorite things in life to see), then we took a little (and I do mean little) hike up this rock for a picture. There was a nice guy that humored us and took a few shots for us. Almost broke out with a rendition of "On top of old smokey..." But thought I better spare the other folks in the area!

Ain't she sweet?! I think so, we have so much fun with the camera that it is hard to find which pictures we actually want to post. But we just like doing it and picking out the best to publish. See that great waterfall in the background? I wanted to put down on paper some of my favorite things right here next to my favorite sister and friend! My favorite things are magical ones to me. My most favorite is the dragonfly...so much so that I had my son Dustin tattoo one on my back! Now that was really daring for me, given my religious affiliations!!! Next in line are these magical things butterflies, fireflies, ladybugs and praying mantis. They hold such fascination for me, it is hard to describe. I then move on to my favorite nature things like waterfalls, lakes, streams, and most dear the ocean! I feel so alive when I am around water. I don't necessarily like to swim but love the sounds, the feel, and the peace that water brings to me. I am even thinking of getting an aquarium so that I can have something living and moving in my home. I love tide pools, pools left in the slick stone of the southern Utah landscape. I love puddles when the birds are taking a little bath, and I love a glass of cold water after enjoying all of the above. I love chimney sweeps (and yes I have seen one or two on the rooftops of Germany). I love kites flying, hot air balloons, and flying with my favorite pilot. These are some magical things that bring so much joy to my heart. If you see one today, think of me!

Most magical of all are the time and memories made with my sister Ann. I love you Ann, so glad we are starting this blog. You are my inspiration and my strength, You know my deepest - darkest secrets and I know they are safe with you. I look forward with anticipation to many more fun time together. Love the Beanie!
