Moving with the new year

No we're not ready to move yet.  I've just been thinking about how quickly this winter has gone and how full my days are.  Seems like I just get up and it's night time already.  Yesterday was such a beautiful warm day here.  I had so much work to do but I kept thinking about a book I read called "Let My People Go Surfing" its a book about the company Patagonia and the philosophy that you surf when the waves are good.  There's more to it than that, but the thing I kept thinking was, how often do we get the miracle of this kind of weather in January?  Typically we are sub-zero, remember last year when Dan was trying to get from Kansas to our house in 40 below temperatures?  So I bagged the stuff I "should" be doing and went out and took the dogs for walks, got the puppies out a few at a time and took them for little adventures and really enjoyed the day.  I'm going to be more mindful of that and adjust the priorities to match the opportunities.  I'll finish the work, it may be late at night or some other time, but I am going to make hay while the sun shines.
