Another bridge to cross!
In our lives there are always bridges we must cross. Some are small and simple, some are long and narrow. Other bridges are curved, straight, tall, or short. They are like the decisions we make or the experiences we have, some are small ones filled with simple pleasures or miracles. Others are long and narrow with twists and turns. Other decisions are hard or unstable depending on the bridge. In your life you have crossed many bridges in your travels, bridges made of wood, concrete, or steel. Bridges that are stable or some that swing or rock as you walk. A lot like the things that happen in our lives. Sometimes we are completely stable, walking with confidence and security. Then our path takes us to a bridge that swings a little, give us a feeling of instability. We feel a little scared to walk on that bridge, it feels a little shaky. It is like the bridge you are crossing in your life right now - feelings of instability, loss of control, or uneasiness. You cross anyway because you know what is on the other side is what you have been working for your whole life, the goal is in sight but it will take some unsteady walking, some determination to make the walk across the bridge. The feeling of doing it and making it across will make the walk worth it. Then the bridges will become more stable. Remember as kids how we always begged mom to stop at the swinging bridge in Zion? It was a little scary the first few steps, but then we got a little braver and then we were running back on forth on it, enjoying the swing, enjoying the freedom of accomplishing the walk. What fun we had, it is all in the perspective I guess. Enjoy the bridge you are embarking on, feel the freedom of doing it, making the bridge swing as you walk. You are awesome, and below the bridge (no not a troll)...water, strong, sweet water. There is power just beneath you, there is power just above you...depend on it, rely on it, and come to know the beauty of it. I love you

Thanks for this encouragement this morning, I am feeling really good about my decision and I am so ready to shift the gear and get across the bridge. I will officially be done on March 31st but everything is in motion and I will be talking to my staff tomorrow. I am so excited!
