Hokie Pokie
I don't think you are takin and not giving at all! I love talking to you, blogging with you and connecting in the best and worst of ways. It has been awhile since we really talked for sure. So much has happened, so many bridges crossed and so much to catch up on. I can't believe that Bruce has retired now. It seemed so far away when I came out to visit. It seems almost surreal that dad is finally retired too. He seems a little happier for the most part. If mom can keep her spending and nagging down he will be so happy. Two impossible things for her to accomplish. I am still on the fence about the birthday party thing. I think it might be fun for you and I to spend some quality time with him doing something really special - (what, well I am not quite sure). It will be hard to get everyone together for a dinner but I will cross that bridge or put out that fire when it gets closer. I have been having a fun time with my grandbabies for sure. The little boys are growing up and so cute even if they are a little too undisciplined for me! Ha! Anyway I loved this picture, it reminded me that life is just a hokie pokie for us, we must put our right foot in, and put our right foot out, do the hokie pokie and turn ourselves around...that's what it's all about! Just when we think we are going in the right direction, we get turned around. Either of our own doing or the doing of fate. We then go in that direction putting our best foot forward and not trying to look back. Moving forward and onward...discovering new and fun things, a different perspective on things. We find that we enjoy the new direction and embrace it, even if scary. Along the way there are people to walk the walk with us, those who love us and want us to succeed in whatever it is we are trying to accomplish. That is one of my greatest joys, is to walk with you on your journey's. I live through you, I am happy when you are happy and feel excited for what's ahead for you because I know I will be part of it...in the cheering section! I love you so much. We will catch up when I get back. We will get home tomorrow night (Sunday) We have hired a new gal at work (Susan Johnson, Bevin's wife) so work life will settle down - I have reached a milestone too, I am going to 3 days a week work so I can have time to do some projects, garden, visit, travel, and get myself organized. I am super excited about that. Talk soon. I am sad about Heather...sometimes the internet can be damaging to a relationship. I worry about my little grandkids here, they are left much of the time in front of the tv or with the IPad in front of them, Jordan doesn't even know or have interest in interacting with people, so sad. Well anyway back to the fun, talk soon - hang in there!
